HOW DO I KNOW IF I’M ELIGIBLE?
You are eligible if you are a high school junior or senior with a high school GPA of 2.8 or higher. You must complete each Penn State course with a grade of “C” or better to continue.
HOW DO I GET STARTED?
Seniors:
Must complete non-degree high school form, print it, have your guidance counselor sign it.
Please submit the following items to the Penn State DuBois Admissions office to Holli Lashinsky at [email protected]. Forms may also be dropped off or mailed to Penn State DuBois Admissions, 1 College Place, DuBois, PA 15801.
- Non-degree high school form
- Official high school transcript
Juniors:
Juniors will be allowed to take dual credit courses on a case-by-case basis with approval from the Undergraduate Admissions Office.
Must complete non-degree high school form, print it, have your guidance counselor sign it.
Please submit the following items to the Penn State DuBois Admissions office to Holli Lashinsky at [email protected]. Forms may also be dropped off or mailed to Penn State DuBois Admissions, 1 College Place, DuBois, PA 15801.
- Non-degree high school form
- Official high school transcript
- One letter of recommendation from a teacher, counselor, or principal
- Standardized test scores such as SAT, ACT, PSAT, PLAN, PSSA, Keystone Exam, etc. are preferred, but not required
HOW TO COMPLETE THE NON-DEGREE HIGH SCHOOL FORM:
Visit Dual Credit Enrollment, scroll down to “How to Apply” and click on “submit a non-degree high school form” to begin your application.
WHAT ARE MY NEXT STEPS?
- If admitted, you will receive an email with instructions about the steps to obtain a computer access account.
- Log into LionPATH, the Penn State student information system, and complete the Preregistration Activity Guide in your To Do List.
- Contact Holli or Dan in the admissions office at 814-375-4720 to let them know these steps are complete so they can get your class(es) scheduled.
WHY SHOULD I PARTICIPATE?
Save money on your future college tuition by taking courses at 50% off the regular Penn State DuBois tuition rate. And if you decide to attend Penn State DuBois upon graduation from high school, you will automatically receive a $1,500 scholarship your first semester, providing you complete at least three Penn State courses with a grade of "C" or above.

**It is the responsibility of the individual student to check with their school of choice to find out if class credits will count in his/her selected program.
WHAT IS THE REDUCED TUITION RATE?
Participants in the Dual Enrollment program will receive a grant-in-aid equal to a minimum of 50 percent of the current cost of tuition. In addition, students are responsible for the cost of books, which varies according to the class in which the student is enrolled. Dual Enrollment students do not receive financial aid and are not eligible for loans.
DUAL CREDIT ENROLLMENT APPLICATION DEADLINES:
- August 1 for fall semester (late August-mid-December)
- December 1 for spring semester (mid-January-late April)
- June 1 for summer session (late June-early August)
